The report about the workshop “luxury snacking”

In the eyes of a student: The report by our student Swarna about the workshop “luxury snacking”.

“When we heard that Chef Samuel from Gastronomicom will be holding a gourmet snacking workshop, we could barely contain ourselves. Most of us had worked with him in the kitchen before, but we still had no idea what was in store for us, that autumn evening!

And to make it an even merrier evening, the school’s administrative secretary, Lise joined us for the workshop too. We made sandwiches (the bread for which Chef Samuel had prepared already) filled with Iberico ham and fresh burgundy truffles.

The shape and the construction of the sandwiches is developed by Chef himself. We made traditional buckwheat galettes filled with, some fabulous Comté and pork fat from Colonatta.

The beef burgers that we made, were laced with truffles and filled with the best Foie Gras.

And last of all, we made savory eclairs with the softest parsley cream, smoked sturgeon and luxurious amounts of caviar.

Just when we thought our time in the kitchen had come to an end, Chef Samuel broke out a bottle of Champagne, the best possible accompaniment to our de-lux snacks!
